In 1991, Phil was the first graduate from the University of New Mexico with a BBA in  Entrepreneurial Studies. He has been in the dental industry for 32 years. After working to grow Esthetic Dental Arts into one of the largest labs in the state, he embarked on a new venture in 2009.  As Owner, President, Salesperson, and back-up driver, Phil Freisinger cultivated a group of ridiculously talented individuals.   Since then, CoLab has grown into the largest dental laboratory in New Mexico.  

Susan has been in the dental field since 1997 and with CoLab since its inception in 2009. She is passionate about her job and strives to make each client feel comfortable, respected, and valued. She loves what she does and she thrives on helping to make CoLab an amazing place to work. Susan likes baking, cross stitching, and hanging out with her husband. 

Bernadette comes to CoLab with 10 years of dental lab administration experience as our shipping and receiving specialist. She has more than 20 years of customer service training! Bernadette enjoys spending time with her family, watching her godson play baseball, and making tamales. 

Sandra has been a dental lab technician for almost 30 years.  She started her career with Esthetic Dental Arts in the staining department and moved up to the porcelain department.    She was one of CoLab's first technicians and has  been wth us now for over 10 years where she is the lead porcelain techinician.  She still loves what she does.

Tom has been a dental tech since 1988 and has mastered all facets of the job including, model work, metal finishing, waxing, casting, and pressing. He has become very specialized in implant cases and enjoys working with doctors to troubleshoot, treatment plan and deliver good results for the patient. He stays abreast of the ever evolving insdustry changes brought on by digital impressioning and manufacturing. He enjoys spending time with his wife, working on old cars, and fixing things.

Starting in the model room and working his way up through all positions in fixed dental restorations, Brady has 31 years experience working in 5 different labs during his career - including his own. He specializes in waxing, casting and tooth function with experience in porcelain stacking and all ceramic crowns. Raising cacti and succulents, jewelry and miniature work takes care of his free time.

As a dental technician for over 27 years, Bart enjoys using his art and design background to fabricate and color thousands of restorations for New Mexico residents. His goal has been to create teeth that are as natural as possible while at the same time in harmony with the age and individual characteristics of the patient.

Philip (or little Phil) has worked at Colab as a delivery driver off and on since 2018. He took a small journey to Alaska after high-school and broke his body for not enough pay so he decided to return home. In 2022 he started working full time as a model room technician/driver/errand boy after some prompting from the CEO. He's learning more about the digital aspect of the dental world from Howard and Sam as he approach my second year full time. Outside of work he loves rock climbing and gaming.

Joseph is one of our model room technicians here at Colab. He started in 2022 and has mastered pouring models and articulating the models, finishing custom trays, and pouring pick-up impressions.  He is currently cross-training in removable model work, articulating, flasking and packing hoping ot master this as well. Outside of work he enjoys working on cars playing videogames, and taking his dog on walks.

In his first interview, 32 applicants were asked, "Would you push a broom at the end of the work day?” I guess he answered to their satisfaction because he has been a tech ever since. He has worked in the dental field for almost 50 years - 6 years in NJ, 34 years in FL and 8 years in NM. He has been involved in training many technicians in the field and has run three successful denture labs in Florida. He is very excited to be a part of CoLab’s future endeavors and success as our Lead Denture  .

Janelle Baca graduated from Carrington College in 2012 upon completing her knowledge of Dental Assisting.  She has work in various labs, doing Crown and Bridgework  for 4 years and started working in removables, making dentures and assisting in many forms around the removable side, waxing, flasking dentures, bite blocks, as well as model work. She has been with CoLab  since 2021. Her hobbies outside of work consist of fishing, being outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family.

Q, as we all know her, has worked in the dental profession for 39+ years. She started as a dental assistant in 1985 for a doctor who had his own lab next door. After helping out in the lab for years, the process interested her so in 1994 she moved over into removable restorations and has been here ever since. She is  relatively new to CoLab, but previously worked for Artistic Dental lab for 18 years and for Highland Dental Lab for 12 years.

Samantha has been at CoLab for the last 3 years and has been a technician for 10 years. She specializes in the digital side of the lab but has done a little bit of everything in crown and bridge through the years, from contouring, stain and glazing, and running the mill. When Sam isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and dog, Buzz and going to Disneyland.

Howard started his career in 1999 by waxing and casting frameworks for PFM restorations. He has known and worked with the staff here at CoLab for many years, some at previous labs. "We really are a family."  Early on, he had the opportunity to learn CAD/CAM just as it was getting started in the industry."  He starts his day at 3:30am running the digital room at CoLab where he designs and mills zirconia, PMMA and wax for gold and E.max, and 3D prints models, nightguards and custom trays.
